The department of Obstetrics&Gynaecology at JIMSH is a multi-speciality department with high quality patient care in the areas of Antenatal Care, Postnatal Services, infertility,oncology, endoscopic surgeries and gynaecological cases, including normal deliveries and caesarean section.
The department brings together first rate Clinical Services with an updated academic curriculum and the vision is to establish a centre of Excellence for the reproductive health needs of women and inculcate in the mind of the upcoming doctors the need of knowledge and expanding research.
The department deals with the health care of women during pregnancy, childbirth and the post delivery period. It also treats diseases related to female reproductive organs.
The department of has endoscopy, ultrasonography and cardio-tocography facilities. All the high risk pregnancy cases undergo foetal evaluation by Ultrasonography and cardio-tocography.
Faculty members are trained and highly motivated. They specialize in managing high-risk pregnancies, sonology, endoscopic surgeries, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. They continuously update themselves by participating in national conferences and presenting scientific papers.
OPD between 9:00 A.M TO 5:00 P.M
Regular camps are conducted in surrounding villages along with the Community Medicine Department to provide good antenatal care and to screen for high-risk pregnancies and cancer.
