2nd Year Residency Framework
Core & Allied Department Rotations

Academic & Scientific Engagement

3rd Year Residency & Final Examination
Thesis Finalization
  • Completion and Final Submission of Thesis/Dissertation to WBUHS 6 months prior to Final Examinations
  • Acceptance of Thesis by University Examiners as a prerequisite to appear for theory/practical exams

  • Theory Examination (4 Papers - 100 Marks Each):
    • Paper I: Applied Basic Sciences
    • Paper II: Principles & Practice of Specialty (Core Topic 1)
    • Paper III: Principles & Practice of Specialty (Core Topic 2)
    • Paper IV: Recent Advances in Specialty
  • Practical / Clinical & Viva-Voce Examination (400 Marks):
    • Long Cases, Short Cases, OSCE/OSPE stations, Ward Rounds, & Table Viva
    • Evaluation by 4 University Appointed Examiners (2 Internal, 2 External)
