A Brief About Jagannath Gupta Institute Of Medical Sciences & Hospital

Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital (JIMSH) - A Unit of Urmila Devi Jagannath Gupta Charitable Trust is a renowned and leading multi-specialty hospital located at Budge Budge, Buita, Kolkata-700137. Since its establishment in the year 2016, it has been successfully serving people from West Bengal as well as from other states. JIMSH has been committedly working in the medical field to foster patient care with advanced medical approach. Apart from providing quality health care services, it has also focused to create excellence in education where through establishing technologically advanced learning system and implementing innovative learning approaches, JIMSH is creating a new dimension in the medical studies. Youth who are coming to pursue their career as a doctor or as a nurse or want to pursue their career in any other branch of medical studies, are getting enormous opportunities at JIMSH. Through the continuous effort of medical teams and other faculties of JIMSH medical college, it has reached to the pick of success.

JIMSH has been issued Letter of Permission by the Medical Council of India for the starting of a medical college with 200 seats for MBBS, 100 seats for GNM & 100 seats for  BSC nursing under West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council, 130 seats for Paramedical under State Medical Faculty of West Bengal for the academic year 2023-2024

 

Overview

The goal of the department is to train students to become doctors who have an astute clinical sense, requisite latest medical knowledge and good clinical skills to serve the medical needs of our society and overall to develop a humane, sympathetic caring attitude and be a fit leader of the medical team.

Department of General Medicine caters the needs of undergraduate students and provides round the clock patient related services. On the education front the dedicated faculty in the department is actively involved in providing need based learning and good clinical skill development. Clinical Research is given top priority. The faculties are involved in clinical research and will guide the students in various research activities.

On the patient front the department provides outpatient services, round the clock emergency, ICU services and regular inpatient services. The department of provides the fundamental base for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This department works 24 hours, 7 days a week for taking care of patients in OUT PATIENT & IN PATIENT department. This department will train the upcoming Doctors – “Evidence based Medicine” and to deal with all medical emergencies.

OPD Services

 

9 AM TO 5 PM (Monday to Friday) & 9 am to 1.30 pm (Saturday) OPD has all facilities like ECG,TMT, EEG, ECG, 2D Echo with color Doppler & a well-equipped emergency room for critically ill patients attending OPD.

IPD Services

The department has 72 beds divided into three medical Units functioning for both the OPD as well as IPD.
