Who can be a better one to hold such a respectful and knowledgeable position of a Principal like our honorary madam Dr. Puspa Ghosh. She is the true leading female role model in today’s era of nursing. Her well-versed experience in practical field, educational background has helped her to touch the pick of success and we are blessed to have her as a part of our organisation as her countless effort and daily contribution also helping us to touch the sky of success. She stepped into GNM course holding the hand of Lady Dufferine Memorial Hospital and as progression, she has completed her B.Sc nursing from the College of Nursing (SSKM Hospital Campus) in the year 1987. Since she had always been a knowledge seeker, she moved out to explore more through completing her masters (M.Sc Nursing in Gyae. & Obstetrical Nursing) from the College of Nursing, Calcutta Medical College & Hospital, in the year 2010. After gathering cupful knowledge she started serving society though her great work where she first stepped into her professional carrier as a supervisor of nurses in SSKM Hospital. Gradually she moved to Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital as ward sister, then as a sister tutor in Ranaghat Sub Divisional Hospital, Kalyani, Nadia. She became a sister tutor in Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital (1993-2000), and then moved to NTS Berhampore, Murshidabaad with a similar responsibility. She then became a Deputy Nursing Superintendent in Berhampore District Hospital and in Dr. B.C. Roy Post Graduate Institute of Paediatric Science. Her fast progress in professional career made her reach to lead a position of Deputy Assistant Director of Health Services in Kolkata, Swasthya Bhawan followed by leading a position of Assistant Director of Health Services (Nursing) till 2017. Her 38years of professional experience in the field of Nursing and medical sciences and even her droplet contribution is enough for us to create a sea of knowledge. Her theoretical and practical knowledge gives us a learning that we feel blessed and it is privilege for us to have her here as a Principal of our JINS.
