Inter-Library Document Delivery
Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital comprises a state-of-the-art Central Library and 17 specialized Departmental Libraries, which collectively support the teaching, research, and clinical extension programmes of the college. The Central Library is fully equipped with contemporary facilities and expansive resources including textbooks, reference treatises, print and electronic journals, back volumes, dissertations, theses, World Health Organization (WHO) publications, CD-ROMs, and high-speed internet browsing services.
The Library is strictly open to bona fide members. Admission is granted upon presentation of a valid Institutional Identity Card or Consultation Card. Readers are required to sign the gate register at the entrance counter upon entry.

Baggage & Belongings Policy: Personal bags, briefcases, and personal study books are not allowed inside the main stacks; these must be deposited at the property counter at the reader's own risk. While exiting, members may be requested to present their file covers, books, and belongings to library security on duty.

Reference Section: A comprehensively maintained, non-lending section housing rare medical treatises, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and high-demand reference manuals strictly reserved for in-house consultation.

Current Awareness Services (CAS): Provides systematic updates to scholars, clinical faculty, and researchers regarding newly published literature and critical medical developments through:
- Periodic display of new accession lists on the Central Library notice boards.
- Departmental circulation of newly acquired titles and journal indexes.
- Direct email dissemination of new arrivals, e-journals, and clinical updates.

Inter-Library Loan & Document Delivery Services (DDS): Specialized journal publications and scientific papers not present in the library's physical collection are arranged seamlessly via the integrated Koha OPAC network.

Computer & E-Learning Lab (1st Floor): Equipped with 40 high-performance computer terminals dedicated to accessing online databases, digital repositories, and clinical portals. The facility is operational daily from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight for faculty, resident doctors, and students.
