Welcome to the Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Kolkata, an undergraduate medical institution which has been fulfilled with the establishment of this institution. Started in 2016 with an annual intake of 150 MBBS students. Students are selected solely on the basis of merit through a competitive exam. Our emphasis is to provide teaching and training facilities of an exceptionally high standard to the medical students. This young institution is now recognized in the region for its quality of education. It has become a preferred institution for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education for students seeking admissions throughout India.
In addition to academic excellence, students of this College have consistently performed well at different cultural, literary and sports activities. Institution has a highly qualified and dedicated faculty, both in basic and clinical.
In healthcare services also it has set new standards and attracts a large number of patients not only from the local areas, but from the main city, Kolkata as well. It has well developed services across all specialties and is now in the process of developing super-specialties to provide comprehensive healthcare facilities.
Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Kolkata, is committed to continuous up-gradation to provide highest standard medical education and healthcare. It is our endeavor to develop a model medical institution which is environment friendly as well as patient friendly. Total computerization, both for hospital management as well as in the administrative domain, is a step in this direction.
The institute undertook a series of reforming exercises to become what it has become today. We now welcome students to come forward to experience the difference. Keeping abreast of this contemporary world of cut throat competitions, we the JIMSH team, aim at creating an inter-disciplinary and a holistic academic environment that enable students to gain knowledge.
