1. Academic Qualifications
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant specialty. Required qualifications include:
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in:
- General Medicine
- Paediatrics
- Equivalent Degrees: Any other postgraduate qualification formally recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
2. Entrance Examination
- NEET-SS: It is mandatory for all candidates to qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Super Specialty.
- National Level: This examination serves as the single entry point for super-specialty courses across the country.
3. Selection & Admission Process
The admission process is transparent and strictly follows a merit-first approach:
- Merit-Based: Selection is determined solely by the rank obtained in the NEET-SS.
- Counselling: Final seat allotment is conducted through a centralized counselling process based on candidate preferences and merit position.
